Project Summary

Quick fitness was developed to solve a common challenge in corporate wellness programs: fitness data is scattered across multiple platforms, making it difficult to create a shared experience. Tibicle designed and developed this Flutter-based mobile app, integrating fitness data from the system OS, Garmin smartwatches, and Bluetooth-enabled cycles into a unified dashboard. The platform enables organization-wide challenges, admin performance tracking, personal goals, user chat, and progress visualization through a shared virtual island powered by Google Maps, turning individual workouts into a connected and engaging wellness experience.
Project Summary

The Challenges

Turning Scattered Fitness Data Into a Shared Organizational Experience

As organizations pushed harder on employee wellness, they ran into a problem that good intentions alone couldn't fix. Fitness data sat locked inside separate devices and apps, onboarding friction kept participation low, and without a shared layer of competition or interaction, programs lost momentum within weeks of launch.

Fragmented Fitness Data Across Devices

Step counts lived in the phone's health app, heart rate in a smartwatch, and cycling sessions nowhere at all, leaving users with no single, reliable picture of their own activity.

High-Friction Onboarding for Organization Users

Traditional email-and-password signup slowed down rollout across an organization, especially for on-site users who needed quick, repeatable access without managing another set of credentials.

No Wearable-Grade Accuracy in Tracking

Phone-only tracking missed the metrics that actually matter to serious users, heart rate, workout sessions, and continuous activity data, making the numbers feel unreliable and easy to dismiss.

Untracked Equipment-Based Workouts

Cycling sessions on smart equipment had no path into any wellness program, meaning a significant share of real effort simply never got counted.

No Way to Run Organization-Wide Challenges

Admins had no system to create, distribute, and monitor fitness challenges, so programs ran on spreadsheets and manual follow-ups that broke down as participation grew.

Low Long-Term Engagement After Launch

Wellness apps typically saw a spike in sign-ups followed by a steep drop-off, with nothing social, competitive, or visual built in to sustain daily use.

Our Solution

Tibicle built Quick fitness as a complete connected-fitness ecosystem, giving organizations one platform where devices, goals, challenges, and people all feed into the same experience.
Frictionless QR Login & Unified Health Sync

Frictionless QR Login & Unified Health Sync

Getting into a wellness app shouldn't be the hardest part of using it. Quick fitness replaces traditional credentials with a QR scanner-based login, letting users authenticate in seconds without typing anything. Once inside, the app immediately syncs health data from the system OS, pulling step count, heart rate, and workout history from Apple Health on iOS and Google Fit on Android. The result is an app that's populated with real, personal data from the very first session, no manual setup, no empty dashboard.

  • Secure QR scanner-based login for fast, repeatable access across the organization
  • Automatic health data sync from Apple Health (iOS) and Google Fit (Android)
  • Step count, heart rate, and workout history pulled in without manual entry
  • Real-time fitness metrics surfaced on a single unified dashboard
  • Consistent data foundation shared across goals, challenges, and leaderboards
Connected Device Ecosystem: Garmin & Bluetooth Cycle

Connected Device Ecosystem: Garmin & Bluetooth Cycle

Serious users train with real equipment, and a wellness app that ignores it loses them quickly. Quick fitness integrates directly with Garmin's API to fetch fitness metrics straight from the user's smartwatch, and pairs over Bluetooth with a smart cycle to capture cycling sessions as they happen. Every source feeds the same dashboard, so a run tracked on a watch and a ride tracked on a cycle both count toward the same goals and the same challenge standings.

  • Garmin smartwatch integration via API for real-time fitness metrics
  • Bluetooth pairing with smart cycles for live cycling session tracking
  • Multiple data sources consolidated into one activity view per user
  • Device-sourced metrics feed directly into personal goals and challenge progress
  • Reduces manual logging by capturing activity at the source
Challenges, Goals & Admin Leaderboard

Challenges, Goals & Admin Leaderboard

A wellness program only works if someone can actually run it. Quick fitnessgives admins a dedicated panel to create and manage fitness challenges across the organization, while users set their own personal goals alongside whatever challenge they've joined. A leaderboard tracks performance in real time, turning individual activity into visible standing, and giving admins a live view of participation instead of a spreadsheet they have to chase.

  • Admin panel to create, configure, and manage organization-wide fitness challenges
  • Personal goal setting for users, running alongside active challenges
  • Real-time leaderboard tracking user and team performance
  • Progress calculated automatically from synced device and health data
  • Live visibility into participation and engagement for program owners
Social Layer: Chat & Google Maps Virtual Island

Social Layer: Chat & Google Maps Virtual Island

Motivation doesn't come from a progress bar, it comes from other people Quick fitness includes a built-in chat module so users can connect, encourage, and compete directly inside the app. On top of that, a Google Maps integration renders a virtual island where every participant's progress is plotted visually, showing at a glance who's closest to hitting their goal. It reframes a fitness challenge as something you can actually see moving, not just a number you check.

  • In-app chat module for direct user-to-user interaction
  • Google Maps-powered virtual island visualizing progress toward goals
  • At-a-glance view of who’s leading and who’s closing in
  • Gamified, social framing that sustains engagement beyond the first week
  • Builds a shared fitness culture inside the organization

How We Deliver

Bringing Quick fitness to life meant building an app that could talk to phones, smartwatches, and Bluetooth hardware simultaneously, while keeping the experience simple enough that anyone in an organization could join in under a minute. Here's how we structured that journey from first requirement to final release.
How We Deliver
Our development process for Quick fitnesscovered Requirements Analysis through Delivery and Release, with close client collaboration at every stage. We designed separate experiences for users, featuring a clean, metric-focused dashboard, and admins, with an intuitive management panel, before moving into Flutter development. Integrations included QR authentication, system OS health sync, Garmin API, and Bluetooth cycle pairing, focusing on data accuracy and sync reliability. From Wireframe Design to End-to-End Testing, each stage ensured a seamless cross-device experience, supported by ongoing Support & Maintenance to ensure reliable performance as the platform grows.
